Kleinzoon van Poulidor, zoon van Adri van der Poel. Wielrennen zit in zijn DNA. Hij behoort tot de elite in drie disciplines (weg, mtb, cx). Won `Strade Bianche, Amstel Gold Race, twee keer de Ronde van Vlaanderen en mocht al eens de gele trui én de roze trui aantrekken. En zijn rivaal Wout van Aert én Pidcock kunnen er op de weg en in het veld ook wat van.
